What will be the consequences of ending summer time?
The end of summer time, linked to the European Commission's proposal, involves the abolition of mandatory regulations requiring the transition to summer time in March and a return to winter time in routers. Each EU country could then be freed to either permanent summer or winter time. Currently, they are divided into three time zones: UTC (London time), UTC+1 (Paris, Berlin, or Madrid time), and UTC+2 (Athens or Helsinki time). This diversity complicates coordination at the European level.
